Colloquial CZECH B1.1 Outline

Chapter 1: Review and Consolidation (5 hours)

• Review of key concepts from A2.2 level
• Reinforcement of grammar structures: verb conjugation, verb aspect, adverbial phrases
• Expanding vocabulary related to work, education, and social life
• Developing conversational skills through discussions and debates on various topics
• Listening exercises to improve comprehension and pronunciation
• Cultural insights on Czech traditions, customs, and social norms

Chapter 2: Practical Communication (5 hours)

• Expressing opinions, preferences, and giving reasons
• Narrating personal experiences and stories
• Discussing future plans and goals using different verb forms
• Vocabulary expansion for communication, media, and technology
• Role-playing activities for practical situations (e.g., job interviews, making recommendations)
• Practicing communication in real-life scenarios through dialogues and simulations

Chapter 3: Language Skills Development (5 hours)

• Enhancing reading comprehension skills through authentic texts and articles
• Writing exercises to reinforce sentence structure and grammar usage
• Expanding vocabulary for culture, society, and current affairs

Chapter 4: Practical Situations and Cultural Competence (5 hours)

• Handling practical situations like giving presentations, expressing opinions in formal settings
• Discussing current events, social issues, and global topics
• Developing intercultural competence and understanding cultural nuances
• Expressing agreement, disagreement, and negotiating opinions
• Polishing conversational skills through debates and discussions
• Reviewing and consolidating all topics covered in the course
• Final assessment to gauge progress and proficiency

Note: This course outline provides a general structure for a Czech language course at the B1.1 level, based on the CEFR framework. The duration of each chapter and the total course length may vary depending on the teaching methodology and pace of the learners. Incorporating authentic materials, interactive activities, and opportunities for conversation practice throughout the course will further enhance the learning experience.

What To Expect

• Final Exam: At the end of the course, you will take a written and verbal exam. A score of 70% is required to progress to the next level.

Terms and Conditions

• Your course fee includes one digital copy of the learning materials. If you’d prefer a hard copy, you can purchase one from our recommended supplier at an extra cost.
• Public group classes are designed for 30 academic hours per CEFR level. If the group grows to 5-7 students, we’ll extend the program by 10 academic hours. If only two students enroll before the course starts, the group will shift to a semi-private format with 20 academic hours.
• Want to switch to a different group or schedule? No problem! Just let us know at least 7 days before the course starts.
• All our teachers are native speakers of the target language. If your teacher falls ill or has an emergency, we’ll arrange a substitute who’s fully briefed on your progress.
• Once you’ve started with your group, switching to another group or schedule isn’t possible.
• Please note that course fees are non-refundable once the group classes have begun.
• We can record group lessons for later viewing, but only if everyone in the class agrees before the course starts.
• At the end of every program, you’ll take a final exam (both written and verbal). To move up to the next CEFR level, you’ll need to score at least 70%.
• After completing your final exam, you’ll receive a progress report, recommendations, and a certification for your hard work!
